The week ahead
Monday, August 17. Mercury in Leo makes a good aspect to Saturn in Aries. This is the best day of the week for anything that needs a serious answer. Ask for the raise. Send the email you have been rewriting for a week. Sign the contract. Have the conversation you have been putting off. People are more willing to hear you out today and less likely to argue for the sake of it.
Thursday, August 20. First Quarter Moon at 26 degrees Scorpio. A First Quarter Moon comes about a week after a New Moon, and it is usually the point where you have to actually choose something instead of thinking about it. In Scorpio, it tends to be about money you share with another person, or something you have not told anyone yet.
Friday, August 21. This is the loaded day. Venus in Libra is directly opposite Saturn in Aries. Venus in Libra wants everyone to get along. Saturn wants the real answer. When these two face off, you usually find out where you actually stand with someone. That can look like a partner asking where the relationship is going, a friend admitting they are annoyed with you, a client saying the budget is not there, or you finally saying out loud that you are doing more than your share. It is not automatically bad news. Sometimes you find out things are more solid than you thought. But it is very hard to change the subject on this day.
Sunday, August 23. The Sun leaves Leo and enters Virgo. Leo season was about being seen and having fun. Virgo season is about getting organised. This is the week people start cleaning out the fridge, making lists, booking the doctor appointment they cancelled in June, and going to bed earlier.
All week. Mars is in Cancer, and Mars is not comfortable there. Instead of dealing with a problem head on, people go quiet, get short with each other, or start an argument about the dishes when the real issue is something else entirely. If you snap at someone this week, stop and ask yourself what you are actually annoyed about.
